Tomb Raider II
Game Type: PlayStation 1
Game Difficulty: Varying; Easy - Hard
Game Release Date: 1999
Tomb Raider is a series of games that I think is fun- It definitely gets four stars. I think it's quite fun, not too hard on the controls, I started playing it when I was like seven so... if I could, you can. :p
The graphics are pretty good, especially when you consider when they were made- they're a little pixelated here and there, but in general they're good. There's no lag or anything. There isn't a huge plot but then again, it's a video game. Who needs a plot?
I would recommend this game! If you don't have an old PlayStation 1, you can find a PC version of the game too.
GAME CHEATS
And of course, as with every fun game, there are weird little glitches and bugs you can exploit to do cool things. These all take place in Lara's House:
The Basement:
Go into Lara's house. See the hallway on the right? There's a wooden door on the right wall that looks like it might go under that side of the stairs. It cannot be opened though- or so it appears.
If you haven't already, you might want to lock Jeeves the butler in the freezer. (okay, so his real name is Winston, but I like Jeeves better) and if you don't know how, just go into Lara's kitchen (the hallway on the left, the door on the left) and open the freezer and stand against the back wall of the freezer facing out. When Jeeves walks in jump over him, run outside, press the O to roll (or whatever the control is for you) and sidestep left and press the button to close the freezer. This way Jeeves won't stop you from making it back to the basement door before the timer runs out (because Jeeves is good for nothing but tripping over in Lara's maze, trust me).
Now with him out of the way, you can go outside, being sure to leave the door open. Run into lara's maze, and follow these directions:
Now, this is where you need to make sure you can do everything you just did backwards (except for picking up the flares of course) at top speed without ever pausing for a second. You need to keep your finger on the controls and never take them off, just keep tilting your finger, so Lara never stops. If you do this wrong or haven't done a few practice runs, you may smack into a few things, which will mean you have to go back and start over because there literally isn't a second to be wasted on smacking here.
In case you are still interested and brave, this is what to do after you push the button:
Get Outside Lara's Gates:
You can also get outside Lara's gates like this:
Go to her obstacle course thing in the back and go to the next to last obstacle: the big tower with the blue netting that you climb up and to the hang glider. But don't do the hang glider part. Just climb up and do this:

- Run straight ahead past the first left, and turn on the second left
- At this point you should see a big gaping hole in the ground on your right. Drop into it.
- Run straight ahead into the pitch blackness and turn left
- Climb out and pick up the flares on the right side of the area.
Now, this is where you need to make sure you can do everything you just did backwards (except for picking up the flares of course) at top speed without ever pausing for a second. In case you are still interested and brave, this is what to do after you push the button:
- A cut scene will play showing the basement the door opening. WHILE THE SCENE IS PLAYING press the roll button, and start running straight ahead. By the time the cut scene is over Lara will be falling into the hole. While running, light a flare, and start running through the course again:
- Turn right in the tunnel, climb out, and do:
- Left

- Run to the end of the hall, turn right

- Left out of the maze
- Run and jump constantly (hold down jump and run) across the yard and into the house and you might just make it into the basement door.... or not. If not, do it all over again.
- If you make it, you will be in Lara's secret basement where she keeps her valuables which she acquires on her travels.
Get Outside Lara's Gates:
You can also get outside Lara's gates like this:
Go to her obstacle course thing in the back and go to the next to last obstacle: the big tower with the blue netting that you climb up and to the hang glider. But don't do the hang glider part. Just climb up and do this:
- Walk to the edge and side step all the way to the right
- Turn about two taps of the button to the right.
- Press the jump button alone and then after Lara has left the ground tap the Look button
- Do that about five or six times and eventually, Lara will suddenly teleport on top of the obstacle
- From here you can jump onto the wall that goes along the outside of Lara's house
- You can run around the wall and make it to the place where the gates are. Hang and drop to the outside and you will land with minimal damage to Lara
- From here you can explore the very tiny world outside the gate, but you can't get back inside
- You can also jump onto the tops of Lara's Hedge Maze onto the roof of her pool room, and a few other cool places.
